SO304 Death and Dying

Prerequisite: SO 201 This class introduces students to issues related to death and dying and provides a foundation of facts, theories and concepts to help students reflect on the ways in which society deals with and expresses death and loss. Topics such as cultural differences, the history of the experience of death, causes of death, demographics, religious practices and death, forensic science, advanced care directives, and hospice will be covered in this course.
