SM305 Sport and Society

Prerequisites: SM 200 and SM 201, or permission of instructor This course is designed to introduce students to fundamental concepts in the sociology of sport. Students will examine issues of race, class, gender, and power in sports with a particular focus on examples found in contemporary American sporting activities and organizations. 3 credits; offered each year.
