Minor in Cyber Audit, Controls and Compliance

Overview

The Cyber Audit, Risk and Compliance (Cyber Audit) minor is designed for students who want to gain an understanding and develop risk management skills in Information Technology (IT) auditing and risk management.  Students will learn methods of identifying IT controls and assessing potential IT risk based on industry standards and frameworks such as COBIT and NIST.  Students will have hands-on experience working through an IT Audit and risk assessment process, planning the audit and performing fieldwork, and how to best manage such risks.  Upon completion of this course, students will have the skill set necessary to identify data management risk, ensure compliance with standards, and assess the operational effectiveness of an IT system.
