B. A. in Philosophy
Overview
The Philosophy Major initiates you into the practices of philosophy (critical discussion, careful reading, and analytical writing) primarily by studying great works of philosophy. Double Majors are exempted from the Foreign Language and Humanities Division requirements. Students double majoring within the Humanities are required to meet the Foreign Language and Humanities Division requirements only once.

Double Majors are not required to meet the Language or Humanities requirements.
Language: Philosophy majors (but not Double Majors) are required to take 6 credit hours of one language:
Greek, Latin, French, or German.
