MM605 Sport & Virtue
This course explores the profound relationship between sport and the development of virtue, examining how character and moral values are cultivated within the context of sport. Topics include the role of sport in moral development, the impact of virtue ethics on sport governance, and the ethical dilemmas faced by sport professionals. Students will engage with philosophical theories, Catholic Intellectual Tradition, and Benedictine Hallmarks in order to apply them to contemporary issues in sport to develop a deeper understanding of ethical leadership and integrity in sport management.
