HS110 Intro to Social & Human Services
This course introduces students to the study of Social & Human Services with a focus on increasing understanding of human behavior within social contexts. The course explores theories and research to increase our understanding of human behavior, social structures, and the social context in which people live to be able to address social problems such as poverty, homelessness, and abuse with a focus on promoting well-being. Students are exposed to the fundamental principles of Catholic Social Teaching including human dignity, solidarity, and common good.
