TM201 More Seminar Classical Intellectual Trad

Study and discussion of foundational Ancient Greek and Roman texts in history, philosophy, and literature, with a special emphasis on the prudence and wisdom of leaders in the social and political spheres. Authors studied include Homer, Sophocles, Thucydides, Plato, Aristotle, Virgil, Livy, Cicero, Marcus Aurelius, and Plutarch. Students outside the Thomas More program may register with permission of the instructor. This course also counts as PO401: Classical Political Thought.
