TM401 Senior More Seminar Modern Intell Trad
Study and discussion of foundational Modern texts in history, philosophy, and literature. Authors studied include Machiavelli, Shakespeare, Hobbes, Locke, Descartes, Rousseau, Burke, and Tocqueville. Special emphasis is placed on the virtue of leaders and their use of power to coerce a populace and/or to promote freedom.
