PH305 Phil of Science and Nature

This course studies the nature of things and how things change. Our study of change will lead naturally into a study of such fundamental topics in philosophy as actuality and potentiality, form and matter, substance and accident, cause and effect, time and motion, nature and chance, and and natural kinds. This course provides the conceptual background for further philosophical studies of human nature, ethics, epistemology, metaphysics, and science.
