PH360 Intermediate Logic

Prerequisite: PH202 or equivalent This course will sharpen your reasoning skills and give you a more complete understanding of valid reasoning. It is a continuation of PH202, requiring no other prior knowledge of philosophy. We will study first-order predicate logic and set theory. Other topics may include computability, modal logic, relations, identity, Gödel’s incompleteness theorems, translation from natural language, or other issues in philosophy of language such as counterfactuals, vagueness, and implicatures.
