SO414 Criminology

Prerequisites: SO 201; Sophomore status or higher An analysis of deviant behavior classified as criminal in our society in terms of the relationship between the law and justice, types of crime, causes of criminal behavior, and proposals for dealing with crime as a social problem. Contemporary sociological theories of crime will also be examined. Offered every other year. Cf. CJ 414.
