HS381 Field Experience Preparation in Human Services
Prerequisites: C or higher in
HS110,
HS210,
HS220,
HS300, and HS320 or permission from program chair.
Prior to entering Field Placement in Human Services (typically, the semester before) students prepare for field experience, research potential sites, complete self-assessments and readings on self-care, prepare an appropriate resume, study and practice interview techniques, complete field placement paperwork, initiate interviews with possible placement sites, review literature about the population to be served, and complete the Field Placement Learning Agreement with agency. Placements are arranged by the student and must be approved by Program Chair the semester prior to taking
