TH310 Benedictines in America

This course will review monastic history, spirituality and tradition. The focus of the course will be to study the founding of Benedictine monasteries in the United States, the impact they have had on the Catholic Church's mission, and their influence on the communities in which they reside. Students will study the founding history of specific Benedictine communities through hands on research, and discussion including primary documents from the Founders.
