B. A. in Biology
Overview
To graduate with a degree in Biology, students must attain a "C" average calculated over all of their Biology courses and must pass a Department comprehensive examination given in their senior year. Credits earned through internships are not counted toward the major. They are counted as elective hours toward graduation and are graded on a Pass/Fail basis.
It is the student’s responsibility to see that all degree requirements for graduation are fulfilled.
Curriculum Requirements
To be accepted into the degree program and be allowed to enroll in upper level BI courses, the student must have completed BI 101 with a grade of “C” or better, no more than two attempts. Students must maintain a C average in all of their major courses in order to graduate with a degree in Biology. If a student drops below a C average for two semesters they will need to change majors. No more than two attempts of any course will be permitted.
