NU307 Population Health: Public Community and Global

This course examines diverse cultural principles and population-focused interventions. The focus is on health promotion in vulnerable populations, social determinants of health, and identification of protective and predictive factors in individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations. Values and ethics in decision-making related to health care preferences and equality among diverse cultures and populations. This course has direct and indirect patient care components through service learning and simulation experiences.
