Program Mission

The Department of Sport and Motorsport Management and its Master of Arts in Motorsport Management will support the mission of Belmont Abbey College by developing highly skilled, ethical, and effective leaders in the motorsport industry. Grounded in Catholic and Benedictine traditions, the program emphasizes the cultivation of character, virtue, and sound business principles, preparing students to navigate and influence the complex landscape of contemporary motorsports. Our curriculum combines rigorous academic training in motorsport management and business practices with practical, real-world applications, fostering critical thinking, strategic decision-making, and innovative problem-solving. Graduates of the Master’s in Motorsport Management program will be well-equipped to make meaningful contributions to their organizations and communities and serve as stewards of ethical leadership and champions of positive change in the motorsport industry.

Program Goals

Graduates of the MA in Motorsport Management program will:

  1. grow in intellect and virtue as motorsport industry professionals by embracing the Hallmarks of Benedictine Education and Catholic Intellectual teachings, committing to lifelong learning and service.
  2. acquire strong business acumen and management skills, encompassing financial management, marketing, risk management, and event management, preparing them to lead and innovate in the motorsport industry.
  3. meet high satisfaction standards among graduates and employers, reflecting effective preparation for diverse careers in the motorsport industry.
  4. develop and apply advanced critical thinking and strategic decision-making skills to analyze contemporary issues and formulate effective strategies in the motorsport industry through the capstone experience.
