EN370 Contemporary Poetry: Reading and Writing

Prerequisites: RH 104 A mix of literary study and creative writing, this course introduces students to award-winning authors and current trends in the world of contemporary poetry. Through close-reading and discussion, students will gain a deeper understanding of the various poetic approaches common at present; meanwhile, through the completion of a writing portfolio, students will also develop regular practice routines and prepare their own creative work for readings and potential publications.
