CS425 Computer Systems

Curious about what happens under the hood of your computer? This course explores the inner workings of computer systems while teaching you the C programming language. Learn the fundamentals of operating systems, memory management, and file systems. Explore how microprocessors execute instructions and how peripherals communicate with the main system. By the end, you'll have an understanding of computer architecture and be able to optimize system performance using C. Learn more at rize.pub/CSM-6. This online class has optional live sessions. This course is taught through the RIZE consortium. Students must inform the Registrar's Office prior to dropping this class.

This course is offered online through a consortium of accredited colleges and universities. Instruction is provided by faculty employed by partner institutions within the consortium, with technology and administrative support provided by Rize Education.

Oversight of courses offered through the consortium are reviewed and approved by Belmont Abbey College. Students register through Belmont Abbey College and receive academic credit from Belmont Abbey College.
