CS480 Network and System Security

The course covers IP security, in-depth treatment of user authentication, email security, web security, network management security, intrusion detection, penetration testing, malicious software, access control, firewalls, etc. Information security architecture will be a key topic and students will learn how to identify different layers of security by creating access path diagrams. This online class has optional live sessions, and it is taught through the RIZE consortium and cannot be dropped without informing the Registrar's Office in writing.

This course is offered online through a consortium of accredited colleges and universities. Instruction is provided by faculty employed by partner institutions within the consortium, with technology and administrative support provided by Rize Education.

Oversight of courses offered through the consortium are reviewed and approved by Belmont Abbey College. Students register through Belmont Abbey College and receive academic credit from Belmont Abbey College.
