B. A. in Parish and Pastoral Ministries

Overview

This major gives students who want to work in faith formation, pastoral counseling, youth ministry, or in parish and diocesan offices the tools they need to be successful. The major revolves around a solid theological formation complemented by counseling and pedagogical skills and by active involvement in the field via an internship.

Curriculum Requirements

To be accepted into the degree program and be allowed to enroll in upper level theology courses the student must have completed TH105 with a grade of “B” or better.

The Theology Department strongly encourages students to pursue a minor in either Psychology or Education to complement their theological and interdisciplinary formation.

It is the student’s responsibility to see that all degree requirements for graduation are fulfilled.
