BI303 Parasitology

Prerequisites: BI 101, BI 201, BI 231 A comprehensive basic study of morphology, taxonomy, and physiology of the parasites of man and other vertebrates with emphasis on Protozoa, Helminthes and Arthropoda. The course focuses on: life histories, etiology, epidemiology, diagnostic techniques, and control methods (class, three hours; laboratory, three hours per week). Offered upon sufficient demand.
