Minor in Computer Science

Overview

The minor in Computer Science (CSC) is designed for students who want to understand fundamental computing concepts in order to be able to write and use computer programs. Although such students typically major in mathematics, the sciences, or engineering, students from any major are welcome to minor in CSC.

A grade of “C-” (1.67) or better must be earned in all courses required for any minor in the department. Students should consult with the Department Chair and complete an official declaration of minor form as early as is possible. It is the student’s responsibility to see that all degree requirements for graduation are fulfilled.

This minor is offered online in conjunction with a consortium of accredited colleges and universities. All courses within the program are delivered by faculty employed by partner institutions in the consortium, with technology and administrative support provided by Rize Education.

Oversight of courses offered through the consortium are reviewed and approved by Belmont Abbey College. Students register through Belmont Abbey College and receive academic credit from Belmont Abbey College.
