BI421 Embryology Laboratory
Prerequisites: BI 101, BI 201, BI 231
Recommended co-requisite: BI 420 Developmental Biology
This laboratory-oriented course will investigate how animals develop from gametes to adults and follows the morphological changes involved in the process. This is an advanced-level biology course designed for those students who wish to know more about the morphology of animal development. It will utilize the microscopic study of classical embryological materials, especially echinoderms, amphibians, birds, and mammals with occasional reference to nematodes, insects, mollusks, and fish. (Lecture and laboratory 3 hours per week). Offered alternate years.
