CJ306 Research in Criminal Justice

This is a new course developed for Fall 2020. It combines the statistical coursework from CJ 307 (or PC 300) and the methodology discussions in CJ 308. In the first half of the course, students will learn to understand quantitative analysis, and interpret empirical research. In the second half, students will study the purpose and designs of criminal justice research, and further develop their research skills by identifying empirical sources relevant to a particular research question and the application of the results for public policy. Offered every fall.
