SM350 Sport Law and Risk Management

Prerequisite SM201, or MM201, or permission of instructor.  This course will provide students with an understanding of the legal issues involved in the supervision, management, and business operations of sport, with a particular emphasis on risk management strategies in sport. Topics covered include negligence, supervision, contracts, drug testing, Title IX, torts, and constitutional law issues in sport.
