EN413 Dante

Prerequisites: EN 211, EN 212 A study of the Divine Comedy as a poetic summation of the Christian Middle Ages. The work will be considered with attention to relevant literary, philosophical, and theological contexts. Students will also consider Dante's vision of political harmony in relation to his place and time.
