HI312 Local History
History happens at the local level. Focused on Gaston & Mecklenburg Counties, students will learn about the region’s history from its earliest inhabitants to the present. The work of local history begins with the community, so this course will teach the skills required to preserve the past. Topics include oral history, historic preservation, and others as necessary. This course counts towards the minor in Public History.
